Miriam’s House

... designed to end the cycle of homelessness, serves homeless single women or mothers and their children.

Not a shelter, Miriam’s House seeks to be preventative in nature for the children and rehabilitative for the adults. It is hoped that by offering a comprehensive program, individuals may be empowered to live independently.

Looking for a part-time position that helps make a difference in women’s and children’s lives?

 

The residential relief staff position provides support to homeless women and their children living at Miriam’s House, a transitional housing program.  Responsibilities include supervising the transitional housing program on weekends and weekday evenings, enforcing the community and safety guidelines, providing support and assistance to residents, offering support to volunteers and overseeing daily and weekend chores. Conflict resolution, communication, internet proficiency, and recordkeeping skills are essential. The position has a rotating on-call pager that receives a weekly per diem salary.

 

Additional Qualifications:

Background and driver’s license checks required.  Experience working in a social services setting needed.
